Collapsible Collander & Steak Knife Set--Product Reviews for the Kitchen!--

Collapsible Colander-
I've been wanting to get a collapsible colander for a long time, I just like the look and concept of it-they save so much space in your kitchen!  I was excited to be able to review this.

Folded up, this takes up about as much space as a dinner plate or two, but when fully expanded, it's the size as any other bowl colander.  It can handle high temps so you know the dishwasher and boiling water isn't a problem.  I like that it has holes in the handles so you can hang it if you want as well.  A friend of mine has a colander like this that she has for her RV which is genius because those are some serious tight spaces.  While I'll probably never be able to downsize to the lifestyle of a tiny home (too much bulky hobbies lol), if I did, I'd buy everything collapsible like this to save space in that tiny little kitchen!  Even now, having a decently sized kitchen, I find it a bit crowded at times, so I'm glad to have this addition.

I like the overall look of this with the silicone and metal.  also, non-slip feet=awesome!  No worrying about having it slip and losing half of your noodles.  If you want to get yourself one of these beauties, go HERE #Colander

Set of 6 Steak Knives-

I recently upgraded my knife set but it didn’t come with steak knives. This is a different brand but the design matches well and I wanted a nice quality set. The knives are really quite beautiful and the box they come in is a really nice touch.

I was a little disappointed upon first glance that the blades weren’t shiny and clean-they looked like they had some residue on them-maybe some sort of grease from manufacturing? They washed up well though.

One thing I don’t like about them is how deep and separated the serrated points are-I feel like it’s more like a rough saw when cutting some things like a carrot-not as smooth as other knives I’ve had before. But it cuts bread like a champ.
