My first 2 craft shows, coupon code, and donations!

Oh me, oh my, so much to do!

First of all I want to mention that I participated in my first 2 craft shows ever and they went well. Didn't become a millionaire by any means but I take them as learning experiences. Other vendors seemed bummed by how slow and few sales there were. Hopefully I'll get some pictures up soon! I was a little occupied running around and making sure everything was in order so a friend has the pictures on her camera :P

Also, I'd like to mention that etsy.com now has coupon codes for those who weren't aware. I was one of the first lucky 5% to get the capability, though it seems that most of us either have it or will have it soon. To get 25% off your order at jollyjennifer.etsy.com just use the coupon code "assomepossum" at checkout! No need to wait for a refund :)

Lastly, just getting caught up on donations from my Crafting4Causes.etsy.com shops. Some proceeds were made via trades, others sold online :) I got behind in part from the craziness of craft show preparations and in part because I lost my debit card, and had to wait for the bank to send me a new one so I could donate!!! Early New Year's resolution: get organized. stay organized. lol. Well, here are donations for the last 4 months. $32 to the American Diabetes Association and $12 to the American Red Cross. This month's proceeds go to Toys4Tots and we haven't made much yet :( You can change that! :)

Online Craft Parties with JollyJennifer

Want some extra cash or free products?-it's simple!

The method is simple - set a date with me for your craft party to occur. I'll get you your very own 'code'. Pass around the date, and code to all your family and friends (and anyone you'd like to 'invite'). When they make their online purchases, and use their code - you start earning money/free products!

Here's the $ or product value you will earn from your online spa party (not to include shipping charges):

Gross Sales from your friends = Your $ Amount Earned OR Product Value Earned
$100 sales+ = $10 OR $12 Product Value

$175 sales+ = $20 OR $24 Product Value

$200 sales+ = $30 OR $36 Product Value

$250 sales+ = $35 OR $45 Product Value

$450 sales+ = $40 OR $50 Product Value

($1-$99 gets you a complimentary gift as a thank you for your time and effort)

In addition, each of your 'party-goers' will be entered to win a FREE pair of earrings to be shipped with their order. You may chose to be paid via paypal OR check. Your paypal payment (or check in the mail ) will be deposited within 24 hours after your online spa party is complete. Product Value is the amount of credit you get for free items from my shop. If you earn $12 product value, then you can get any item worth $12 or under FREE! Likewise, you can apply that value to any larger purchase as a discount.

This is a fantastic (and quick) way to earn some money, and you don't have to worry about getting out of your pajamas, cleaning your house, or preparing food.

*At this time all sales transactions are being done via etsy.com or through email and billed through paypal.com. Etsy is a free and simple venue that "party-goers" would register for. If they don't want that fuss, they can contact me directly via email during the party with the discount code and I will bill them directly via paypal. All sales must be complete and paid for by midnight the day of the party to contribute toward the total.

Please contact me at: feelin_gr_8@yahoo.com to register your party!

Fantastic for Five Finds!

Thanks for stopping in today! I've just changed my blog name from jollyjennifer'setsyblog to "rekamirecreations". In Polish, rekami means "by the means of hands". And that's truly what creating is for me, a recreation, a creative therapy. I've been working on several custom orders lately (and I should be now instead of typing) but I wanted to revamp my blog and post some Fantastic for Five Finds :) I signed up for a website called fiverr.com where you can post and purchase services and items for $5. No more, no less. I thought the concept was fun. No sales there for me yet but I thought I'd feature some things as well as showing $5 etsy items (shipping included) :) (Some fiverr items are mine, some are from other people. Here's my direct profile page.) Enjoy!

So much to do, so little time!

Just taking a moment to blog since I haven't in a while. I'm at my sister's house spending time with nieces and nephews and having a ball. Yesterday I bought some erasers and carving tools and made some custom handmade rubber stamps. Minus the part where I stabbed myself, it was really fun and I think it's something I'll practice more and maybe offer up on etsy.com! Aside from my usual experimenting with new crafts and techniques, I'm keeping plenty busy with a good flow of orders and prepping for my first craft fair this fall! I'm excited for it. I'll be sharing a booth with a coworker of mine and I'll make sure to post some pictures :) Please stop by jollyjennifer.etsy.com and let me know what you think I should make more of for the craft fair!

1 YEAR ON ETSY!!! SALE DURING JULY!!! AND THEN SOME!!!

Well, I've officially been on Etsy for 1 year (as of tomorrow at least) so to celebrate, I'm offering 25% off both shops for the entire month!!! Read shop announcements for details and exceptions.

More exciting news is that I'll be working with a local photographer to take product pictures, that should free up a lot of my time, I'll let you know how that goes :) I moved at the end of May so things have been a tad hectic and busy to say the least, but the creative juices still flow and my new job also allows me plenty of time for creating things here and there.

And last but not least...here are the proofs of donation, getting caught up for the last few months in my Crafting4Causes shop! I've finally decided on a regular donation schedule so see my shop announcements for details.

I blinked and a month passed me by!

Wow, things have been a little crazy to say the least. With beautiful spring weather and daily game nights or other parties, I hardly have time for my etsy store. I guess that's not too terrible since sales are slowing down anyway. I haven't sold anything in my crafting4causes shop yet this month, but if I do, the American Red Cross is the charity of the month and I rounded up the proceeds from January and February to $5.oo for the American Diabetes Association. Hopefully I'll find more time soon! Have a great day everyone!

Success :)

I'm very very sorry for taking so long to draw a winner for the Valentine Showcase Giveaway. The winner was Alli! I've already sent an e-mail your way with details for the free $15. Congrats :) And stay tuned to this blog as a couple of featured individuals have expressed interest in donating items to future giveaways :) I feel like this was a success and all the effort was worthwhile :) I really need to stop with the sideways smiley faces...I guess I'm kinda addicted.

Hope you all had a great Valentine's. Mine was pretty average. My nieces and nephews and puppy dogs were all my Valentines <3. I've been slowing down lately on my production with Etsy items lately. Partially from discouragement that I'm not getting steady sales, but also because I've just been so darn busy! As spring has been trying to poke its head out here early this year I've been more motivated to spend time outside, with friends, and getting in shape. But don't count me out, I've still got some great items to come :)

Valentine Showcase 2010-Plus Giveaway!

I love the creative world that is encompassed in Etsy.com. As I've come to buy and sell there I've seen so many wonderfully unique things that you just won't find elsewhere. Not to mention, the mass produced commercial items these days just don't say "I love you" for Valentines, to me they just say "Here's your obligatory gift". Having worked for a florist shop last year during Valentines I can tell you that Valentines is the absolute worst time to buy roses as the quality is sacrificed by growers and shippers for quantity.

I decided to compile this multi-post showcase from ideas I've collected and hours of thoughtful searching. While I tried to get a wide variety of items, the selection will of course be somewhat biased by my personal taste, so if you don't find just the right thing here for your Valentine, hop on Etsy and search around, I guarantee you'll find something! To view more information and more/larger pictures of each item, click on the appropriate link below the picture. Thank you for taking the time to review, leave comments, AAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD...ENTER MY GIVEAWAY!

I asked around as to what kinds of things men like for Valentines and the trend was that they really just want something nice and thoughtful about their interests and hobbies. Her Valentine Showcase

In preparation for this showcase I surveyed around about the kinds of gifts women like for Valentines and the answers were rather varied. Some women love plushies, while others love Jewelry. If you're struggling with what to give her that's truly unique then here's just a small glance of what Etsy sellers have to offer (let's be honest, a $3.00 box of chocolates from the store, or the cliche teddy bear is never memorable or thoughtful. Ditto with flowers, and they die so quickly!) Remember your daughters, mothers, and even yourselves ladies, you deserve a special treat! Enjoy browsing!
